Milena Govich is a director, actor, and
musician who has directed a number of episodes of TV which include The
Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire
(2012) among others. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing director on Dick Wolf's CBS
show FBI (2018) and is currently in the process of completing two pilots.
Milena was one of eight women who were selected by AFI's highly regarded
Directing Workshop for Women. She also participated in the Sony Pictures
Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV series as well as
a short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort The film won the Best
Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival as and Best Pilot at
SoHo International Film Festival. The film, Temporary, she produced (2017) was
screened across the country. She won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film
Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. and the Director's
Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in
over 100 television shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love
Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of
Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006), which was a Dick Wolf
series, was her second major character. This led to her being named the
Emmy-winning female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007)
(Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) [ABC Family]; and
Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has also been featured in
several movies, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) which
starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) as well as #Lucky
Number (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015), which stars alongside Method Man; and the
movies Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena, a
native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian at her high school before she
graduated with two majors in vocal performance and premed at the University of
Central Oklahoma. She also graduated valedictorian. After graduation, she
capitalized on her ballet and classical training to appear on Broadway in the
production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
